 Professor Narasaraju wrote numerous research papers on Hydroxyapatite, which is the main inorganic constituent of human bones and teeth. A significant part of his research is on finding ways to use Hydroxylapatite to remove fluorine from drinking water which causes a disease known as Fluorosis. . Ground-water of many areas of the world contains fluorine. Professor Narasaraju and his collaborators did extensive research work as mentioned in his autobiographical account, to explore possibilities of preventing the occurrence of the disease through removal of fluorine using synthetic samples of Hydroixylapatite. The process of removal of fluorine from drinking-water is known as Defluoridation. At that age Professor Narasaraju decided to collect his memories in the form of an autobiography through which the present generation can come to connect with the past, so that the past isn't forgotten and we as the future remember where it all began. Beginning at the ancestral origins of the family, Professor Narasaraju in this autobiographical account has described numerous incidents which shaped him throughout his life, while also giving descriptions of every family member.   Gajendra Mokshana refers to the Indian mythological story in which an elephant king goes through a humbling experience where Lord Vishnu saves him from drowning in a pond by rescuing him from the   clutches of a crocodile.
